RENDEZVOUS WITH CINEMA
French Rendezvous is the pre-eminent showcase for contemporary French cultural activities including cinema across Australias six capital cities. Established in 2005, French Rendezvous is a major cultural event on each city's social calendar and one of the world's largest French festivals. 2009 will see French Rendezvous extending it's reach to audiences in regional centres with the Rendezvous Regional. 
From slick gangster pics and broody European dramas; through new animated
sc-fi and pulsating erotic documentaries; to innovative short films and retrospectives of the inventors of cinema, the French rendezvous film program is broad,
has depth, and is full of emotional power and resonance. We provide audiences across Australia with an annual showcase of films that range from the audacious
to the charming, and that illuminate the many facets of one of the worlds most pervasive style cultures.
Over 30 days in July, we will inspire, challenge and entertain patrons of French film with red carpet events, screenings, debates, online forums and content in prominent venues in six capital cities as well as through the internet and mobile platforms. In three years, our audience base has grown from Sydney to all capital cities and we have expanded the number of venues and the duration of the event.
