GASTRONOMICITY
GastronomiCity is a celebration of French gastronomy in Australia - and aims to introduce a little bit of Paris lifestyle for one month across the country.

The event, which is organised by French Rendez-vous, Sofitel Hotels and Eponimo Communication has exploded from last years Sydney only 45 venues to more than 150 participants in 5 capital cities agreeing to fly the French flag and join in for a month of pure gastronomic delight.

Monday 25th June saw an exclusive media and celebrity chef tasting of champagne, fine French wines and exotic canapés creations at the famous Bilson’s restaurant on O'Connell St in the city. Chefs were given a fine French wine courtesy of Fine Wine Partners and have created two canapes recipes, to be served on the night with the selected wine (media enquiries here).

Included in that list, is one of Australia’s greatest pastry chefs, Mark Stone – who is the man behind bringing the delicious Lenôtre (photos here) pastry to Australia, and the face of GastronomiCity. Sydneysiders will have the chance to taste his incredible pastry creations at the Sydney Sofitel Hotel throughout the festival.
